About Us
Nicholas was born and raised in Alaska and had not left the state
of Alaska until 2004 to attend Heartland Baptist Bible College.
Since attending Bible College he has lived in Oklahoma, Alaska,
and West Virginia. He attended Chugiak High school and
graduated from the North Dakota Division of Independent
Study.
He met his wife Ashley, while a member of Manna
Baptist Church in Palmer, Alaska, where they
married December 21, 2002.
Nicholas was called to preach in March 2003
at a Mens Retreat in rural Alaska. He served as
the Assistant Pastor of Maplewood Baptist Church,
in Martinsburg, West Virginia until March 2009. He
surrendered to the field of Tok, Alaska for church
planting in September 28th 2008. Nicholas prayed to
receive Christ at the age of seven. He has an older brother,
Michael and younger brother, Joey.
Ashley was born in Sacramento, California and has lived in The
Philippine Islands, Texas, Germany, Minnesota, Indiana, Alaska,
Oklahoma, and West Virginia. Ashley was saved at the age of
twelve. She graduated from Manna Baptist Academy in Palmer,
Alaska, and was a member of Manna Baptist Church when she
met Nicholas Sawyer. Ashley has one younger sister Casie.
